Mark ReynoldsCo-founder and General Manager of Maxmar, Mark has a passion for the sea and farming and believes in businesses built on solid relationships. Mark worked for the first 10 years of his professional life in International Banking before seeing the looming collapse of the world’s fisheries and the pivotal role that aquaculture could play in meeting an ever increasing demand for seafood. Although involved in all aspects of the business he mainly focuses on the farm production and commercial and marketing aspects of the business. Mark holds a First Class Business degree from the University of Brighton Business School in England. He also earned a Masters degree in Aquaculture and an Academic Silver Medal from the renowned Institute of Aquaculture at Scotland's Stirling University.
Mark VenusCo-founder of Maxmar and Technical Manager, Mark has worked with the company from its inception and has been involved in every function from site selection to establishing the company. Graduating from Edinburgh University with a Bachelors degree with Honors in Ecological Science, Mark went on to receive a Masters degree (with distinction) in Aquaculture from The Institute Aquaculture at Stirling University and has over 20 years of international experience in mollusk farming. Mark’s expertise lies in adapting and developing existing and new technologies suitable for low energy usage and high production at the hatchery, nursery and farm sites. His primary focus has been to set up the hatchery. Mark’s attention to detail demands the very best and ensures that only the highest quality product reaches our customers.
